High School Senior Scholarship Application
The Good Samaritan Hospital Guild will award two, $2,000 scholarships, annually.
The Guild will accept applications from February 1st through March 31st each year.
Recipients will be notified by May 1st and will be required to attend the Guild Membership Meeting on May 13, 2025.
- One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who is a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital OR is graduating from the School-to-Work program at Good Samaritan Hospital.
- Applicant must be a high school senior accepted or enrolled at an accredited college, university, or technical school.
- Applicant must have volunteered within the Good Samaritan Hospital system a minimum of 6 months over the last calendar year with at least 60 volunteer hours OR applicant must be graduating/completing the School-to-Work program at Good Samaritan Hospital.
- Applicant must have a cumulative 3.0 or higher GPA, out of a possible 4.0.
- Items that will be required for application submission:
- Cumulative GPA
- Copy of most recent transcript of grades
- College acceptance letter (preferred but not required)
- Number of volunteer hours (for volunteer students)
- Statement from Good Samaritan Supervisor
- Academic reference with a letter of recommendation
- One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior whose parent(s) or grandparent(s) is a member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Guild.
- Applicant must be a high school senior accepted or enrolled at an accredited college, university, or technical school.
- Applicant must have a parent or grandparent who is a current Good Samaritan Guild member, in good standing. To be a member in good standing, the Guild member must have an up-to-date membership status and attend membership meetings or participate on the Guild Board.
- Applicant must live in the Greater Cincinnati area.
- Applicant must have a cumulative 3.0 or higher GPA, out of a possible 4.0.
- Items that will be required for application submission:
- Cumulative GPA
- Copy of most recent transcript of grades
- College acceptance letter (preferred but not required)
- Academic reference with a letter of recommendation
- Personal reference (non-family member) with a letter of recommendation
